Der gebürtige Engländer,
Ken Prevost, ist bereits mit 7 Jahren erstmals mit dem Song „Pennies
From Heaven“ öffentlich aufgetreten.
An seinen insbesondere
amerikanischen Entertainer-Vorbildern wie Frank Sinatra hat er seither
sein Gesangstalent konsequent ausgerichtet und so wurde er im Jahre
2004 auch Gewinner des Titels „Schweizer Frank Sinatra“.
Für
dieses Konzert wird der Sänger vom Peter Eisen Trio begleitet. Peter
Eisen, Pianist des Trios und seine Jugend-Kollegen, Hans Sander am Bass
und Curt Treier am Schlagzeug, waren schon vor rund einem halben
Jahrhundert bekannte Vertreter der damaligen Winterthurer Jazz und
Tanzmusik-Szene. Das immer noch aktivste und in vielen verschiedenen
Formationen tätige Mitglied ist sicher Curt Treier, seine Auftritte als
„Taktgeber“ der DRS-Bigband bleiben unvergessen.
Ken
Prevost offeriert an diesem Abend eine Auswahl aus dem Great
American-/Sinatra Songbook, welche auch zum bevorzugten Repertoire des
Trios gehört.

The native English, Ken Prevost, has already staged in public for the first time at age 7 with the song "Pennies From Heaven". He focuses intensely on the American entertainers (especially Frank Sinatra) and has consistently developed his talent in this direction.
In 2004 he won the title of the "Swiss Frank Sinatra."
For this concert he will be accompanied by the Peter Eisen Trio. Peter Eisen, the pianist of the trio and his colleagues from the earlier period, Hans Sander (bass) and Curt Treier (drums) were already half a century ago the then-known representatives of the jazz and dance music scene in Winterthur. The still most active and in many different formations engaged member is for sure Curt Treier, his appearances as a "pace giver" of the DRS-big band are unforgettable.
Ken Prevost offers this evening a selection from the Great American-/Sinatra Songbook, which also belongs to the preferred repertoire of the trio.
